BRIEF CV OF DR. PRAMOD KUMAR SINGH

Dr. Pramod Kumar Singh is working as the Head of Department of Sanskrit, Maitreyi College, University of Delhi. He is a faculty member in Maitreyi College, since 2009. He is senior most in the Department and holding additional charges of Nodal Officer as well as Liaison Officer of PwDs of the college. Apart from this, he is also working as a Coordinator of Equal Opportunity Cell & Coordinator of Enabling Unit of the college. He is holding additional charges of Nodal Officer as well as Liaison Officer of PwDs of the college. He has also served as a Teacher-In-Charge of Department of Sanskrit for the academic session 2012-13, 2013-14, 2014-15, 2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19 & 2020-21.

Dr. Pramod completed his B.A. (Hons.)-Sanskrit with Distinction (76.4%) securing marks in 2003 & M.A.-Sanskrit with Distinction (81.0%) from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi in 2005. In the same year, he has also cleared the UGC-NET examination, in which he has been awarded with Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). He obtained his M.Phil.-Sanskrit with Distinction (75.8%) with highest marks in 2007 & received a Ph.D. Degree in Sanskrit-Darshana Stream as a Senior Research fellow (SRF) from Department of Sanskrit, University of Delhi in 2015.

Dr Pramod has many certificate & diploma courses in his credit too. He completed Diploma in English with First Division (61.8%) from BHU, Varanasi in 2003, DCA+FADP with A+Grade (90%) from Computer Zone, Varanasi. He obtained certificate in Prakrit with Distinction (85.5%) as well as with Highest marks in 2017 & certificate in Pali with Distinction (83%) in 2018 from Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, New Delhi. He received his another Master Degree M.A. in his allied/relevant area/subject Philosophy with Distinction (77.6) from UPRTOU, Allahabad, where he also topped and secured highest marks in all the schools, streams and courses of UPRTOU amongst all special meritorious students at UG/PG level and awarded with Prof. SN Dubey Gold Medal on 29th November, 2019. He has qualified for UGC-NET in PHILOSOPHY subject as well.

Dr. Pramod has been conferred 14 National/International awards/honors including National Award & Excellent Teacher Award for his outstanding contribution to academic, literary and social works. He has been awarded with National Award for Best Employee category comprising with a cash prize of Rupees Fifty Thousand, a citation, an award certificate, and a medal from Govt. of India. The award was given by Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, the Hon’ble Vice President of India at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on 3rd December, 2018. He received Excellent Teacher Award for aknowledging the outstanding service and contribution to academic activities by University of Delhi on the occasion of the 97th Foundation Day of the University of Delhi at Convention Hall, Viceregal Lodge, DU on 1st May, 2019. He is also a Gold Medallist in his allied subject Philosophy.

Dr. Pramod has also published more than 40 research papers/articles in various reputed research journals/magazines. He published two books and 06 chapters in books. He participated and presented 70 research papers in National & International Seminar/Conferences. He delivered more than 20 lectures in various reputed National/International Institutes. He conducted 65 workshops/seminars/webinars/FDPs in the Capacity of Convener on various relevant & significant topics (in which 38 webinars were organised during lockdown). He has attended in 35 Workshops & Training programmes at different Institute/University throughout India. He initiated 21 various social activities and has held 11 administrative positions in different levels. He is also an Editor of Samvedana e-Research Magazine & Vantage e-Research journal of Maitreyi College, both are well-known & reputed magazine/journal with having an ISSN. He is also an Executive Editor of Vaaksudha International Research Journal & Global thought International Research Journal and Yugantar Today e-magazine with having an ISSN. He is the part of editorial board of Jambudveep : the journal of Indic Studies, published by IGNOU, New Delhi.

His area of research interests include Jaina Studies, Baudha Studies & Purana Studies.
